With so many things to do and accomplish in a day, life can sometimes feel overwhelming. It can sometimes feel like there are not enough hours in the day to get everything done. Improving fitness is important, but many people rank it low on the list of priorities. Here are some tips to help you stay fit when it feels like you don't have any time to work out:


1. Walk/Bike to work

If you have the advantage of living relatively close to your work or school, consider biking or walking. Both are great exercise and would be a great way to start the day. You will also be saving money and reducing your carbon footprint.


2. Work out during your lunch break

If you get an hour lunch break, dedicate some of that time to working out. Many office buildings have gyms in them that are super convenient. Run on the treadmill or lift weights for 20-30 minutes, shower, and grab a quick bite to eat before returning to work. 


3. Utilize the time while your kids are at practice

If you have kids who play sports and you usually watch them practice, consider getting active during that time period. Walk or run laps around the soccer field while they practice. Outside of their practices, play sports with your kids. It will be great bonding and great exercise for everyone involved.


4. Accomplish other tasks while working out

If you have a conference call that you know will take a while, put on some headphones and carry the call with you as you go for a run, walk, or gym session. Listening to podcasts or audiobooks is another great way to kill two birds with one stone as you work out.


5. Invest in stationary cardio equipment

Stationary cardio equipment is excellent to have at home. Stationary bikes, for example, provide a great workout and often make very little noise. Stationary equipment can help you get a good workout in while watching TV with your family or even doing work-related things.


6. Do workouts with family or friends

If you are worried about losing time with family or friends due to your fitness regimen, encourage them to work out with you. Joining a fitness class or just doing workouts together can be great fun and a great way to spend time together.
